You’d think I’d post all these outstanding images over the course of several months. But you know what, there’s a point to be made here.
International Women’s Day calls for an equal recognition in the arts so I’m just doing my part to showcase these women in country music who broke barriers, sang about real issues and made a name for themselves as well as those who continue to blaze trails.
I could go at least two more posts and I largely neglected the 80s and 90s, but that’s par for the course at Both Kinds of Music.
These 50+ female artists I posted today in tandem with International Women’s Day represent the best women in country music - those who have done so much for the genre with their unique voices and dedication to their craft.
